Be Genuine: Make efforts to let your clients know that you genuinely care about their business objectives.

Get to Know Them: Keep personal notes about your clients on file—birthdays, their spouse’s name, favourite sports teams, etc.—so you can keep that favourable connection with them going.

Stop Talking and Listen: One of the best things you can do during a customer interaction is to spend the majority of the conversation listening to what the client or prospect has to say.

Be Helpful: If you don’t offer the product or service a customer is looking for, point them to a company that does. Go even further by giving them the address and phone number of that company, and the name of someone who can help them when they get there.

Take Better Care of Your Best Customers: If a small number of clients account for the majority of your company’s revenue, it only makes sense to give those clients the royal treatment.
